How fortunate is the little boy
Whose yard holds in it a tree;
He is the most fortunate boy
That there ever could be.
For a tree will hold a nest of robins
In its branch up so high,
And a boy can climb its branches
To reach up and touch the sky.
A tree can hold a swing of wood
With ropes so it can fly,
And in that swing a little boy
Many hours can pass by.
Moms can watch this wonderful sight
And remember when they were young,
And loved to swing in a wooden swing
Having hours and hours of fun!
