I CAN HEAR YOU CRYING

I Can Hear You Crying...

I watched in horror at the news

That showed hurricane force winds

And rising water over streets and homes

And debris around the reporters flying

And over the din of all that was going on

I could hear you crying.

Deep heavy sobs for those who lost their lives

And all else involved in this destruction

Tears choked back as they prayed for

Help soon for reconstruction.

Heart felt sobs for those homeless

And who knew not where to go

Tears for those with arms up to Heaven

Beseeching God for help here below.

It broke my heart to hear the sobs

And feel the anguish and the pain

I felt as if my ears would bust

From the sadness and the sorrow

And I could only pray for them

A better day tomorrow.

Then  I looked toward Heaven

As over the newest reports I was sighing

And I realized that it was my tears I heard

It was my heart which  for you was crying.

Well, I HAVE been out a little.....there were those seven trips to CKU, Provo, Minneapolis, Annaheim, Provo again, Nashville and the expos....San Diego, New Jersery...and the booksignings...New Jersey, South Dakota, Illinois..........but I haven't been out much this week!

Karen made me a Thenakin......and I love her!  I have another one with my broken toe that another good PUB friend made for me and I will have to give her equal time. They are both adorable. Karen thought since my toe was healed my Thenakin should reflect that so she did a healed version. I love them both!

I've Been Tagged!

My buddy  Rhonna tagged me and I'm supposed to list five quirky or random things about me (only five five?) That should be easy to do since I am fraught with quirkticity...:-)

1. I love words...some of my favorites are plethora and fraught....

2. My daughter's baby shower was held in the pentagon.

3. I love only iced drinks....summer or winter...ice tea, Diet soda with lots of ice.

4. I love singing when I'm by myself or in the car but have no confidence around others

   ( I took a year of voice lessons a few years ago just to try to overcome this)

5. Sometimes I think in rhyme.............but not all the thyme....:-)

I made a layout that was lovely

Perfect in every way

I was so anxious to share it

And could hardly wait to hear what folks would say.

I had metal photo frames and "plaquelets"

Ribbons and eyelets by the score

So many QK letters perfectly done

That I could add no more.

I had ribbons on the corners

And ephemera from the 1880's

Complete with Victorian postcards

With stylishly attired old fashioned ladies.

I had scraps of the magna carta

And bulletins about Buffalo Bill

I had pieces of sailboat twine

And a page from Grandpa's will.

I had polka dotted circles

Around the perimeter and middle

I had the strings that once upon a time

Had graced Great Grandpa's fiddle.

I had all the latest trends

And mastered to a tee

I was sure as I mailed it off

That great fame would come to me!

But soon my dreams were shattered

When I looked at what I'd done--

I had not left a space for photos......

No, not a single solitary one!
