When People Make You Cry

When people make you cry, forgive them
For they are the losers in the end
They have missed a chance to encourage
A truly wonderful friend.
When family makes you cry
It is really sad to say
There's nothing you can do
If they are prone to be that way!
Just love them anyway
And make it a point to be
Always the first with love
At any opportunity!
And even if it seems to be
A losing battle to you now
You will be the winner in the end
Some day, somewhere ...somehow!
Never rush to be the one
Who has the cutting remark
But rather be the one to rush ahead
To help heal a hurting heart!

I Went to Church

I went to church barefoot today
In fleece shirt and baggy slacks as well
But no one saw me in this attire
And my little dogs won't tell.

I went to church with no make up on
And hair unkempt as well
But Hubby didn't seem to care
And my little dogs won't tell.

I went to church at my PC
Just my little pups and me
But I felt my eyes let fall a tear
For I felt that Jesus was so near.

I went to church with others
Although they were far away
But the Father saw us everyone
And He has blessed this day.

It's been a long time since I've posted but I need a place to share without feeling censored so here I am again.

Mom saw a commercial on TV

Mom saw a commercial on TV
That promised to erase those lines
That were showing up on Mom's face
(But we thought she looked just fine.)

Then she found a creme at the store
That promised to erase ten years
By just applying it each day
Beginning right below her ears.

Her friend brought a free sample of oils
So promising that Mom got 'em
That promised to renew her complexion
Making it as soft as a baby's bottom.

The list went on and on that way
With products to make my Mom
Look younger and younger
Every single day.

To Mom they all sounded promising
And each impressed her uniquely
But Mom ordered every single one
And has disappeared completely!

Things have changed since I posted last!

Just wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas season!

I have not been able to find the way to log into my blog with all the "improvements". Now to see if I can edit and search. :-)

I spend too much time on Facebook
I understand that I do
But I get so happy
At the thought of visiting with you.
But alas the laundry is piling up,
And I need to get it done
So that there will be sweet scented
And clean clothes for everyone!
There is mail to be sorted and divided
And closets to be purged and tidied
With things bundled for Goodwill
So many household tasks
I see a great big hill!
The doggies are at their dishes
And are asking to be fed
It started off so gradually
But see where it has led
This need to communicate
And like and share all day
It's discombobulated my schedule
Putting my chores permanently on delay!
So I've decided to leave Facebook,
Yes, you heard me right
I have decided to leave it all behind-
But I will be back tonight...

I have decided to come back
And give you another look
Perhaps I shall be inspired to write
And share more verses each day
If I feel the urge
To share what I want to say.

  Ilove God
I love my country
I love freedom and liberty
Every breath I take is in thanksgiving
Of what God has done for me.
I thank Him for my country
My friends and family too
And for the opportunity
Of knowing folks like you.
God help us keep our freedom
With our flag flying high and proud
Let us never have to whisper our allegiance
But let it always be out loud.
Let no one, not foreign or internal
Take away what we hold dear
Let no one convince our country
To give in to a national fear.
Expose those who seek to harm us
On foreign soil or our own shore
And the harder they work against us
Make us stronger all the more.
Lord, speak to the hearts of those who love You
Fill their spirit with Your peace
And let that flag that waves over our country
In this waving never cease!
