Each one of you I've met online Offer me something hard to define More precious than jewels And the very finest wine Is the friendship that is yours and mine. Some of you have such grace and charm With sweet words that make a soul feel warm And others have the sharpest wit Making me laugh so hard that I can't quit. Others share thoughts so profound-so wise That help me my dreams to realize. Some share stories from deep within Stories of how they had to begin again. A few have suffered great losses and pain But have laughed in the sunshine and danced in the rain Knowing that their life must go on They continue to add to their life's song. Each moment is special and so are each one of you So here is what I'd like you to do. Please pass on a little note of praise To someone who adds joy to your days. Knowing that it indeed is true THat I have been blessed by each one of you.
It was late at night and I went on to Digital Shop Talk and saw a challenge by Prathibha of My Pic Tales for someone to create an 8x8 book using new software for that size.
People were requesting an 8 x 8 and they wanted to meet that need. I decided to give it a try and I was surprised at how quickly and easily it came together. True, I just used photos taken from our most recent walk around the bay, but it was almost effortless on my part!
I pushed a button and sent it to print. A few days later it appeared at my door in hard cover. I loved it so much that I went back to my computer and pushed the button again. This time I had the book mailed to my daughter.
Now I'm hooked! I just completed some little poetry books to give to my special friends. I chose the hard cover which are very reasonably priced (in my humble opinion) but the soft covers are even more inexpensive and I do intend to check those out too. (I could afford to do more books that way!)
I am sharing this because I am impressed with the product, the company and the customer service and want to see them succeed.
Thank you to each one Who has a husband, wife, daughter or son Fighting in a land across the sea To provide freedom for you and me. Thank you to those who serve In our own land or far away. Thank you from our hearts On this somber celebration day. Thank you to those who fought long ago For the freedoms we sometimes take so casually Those who gave their lives while still so young To keep this nation free. Thank you to those who were husbands and dads Those who were daughters, moms and wives, Who so long ago in our history on foreign soil Gave that ultimate sacrifice...their life. Thank you to each sweetheart Who kissed their loved one goodbye, And who must everyday watch anxiously And try not to worry and cry. Thank you to each mother Of daughter or of son Who sent them off when duty called, And considered it a sacred one Thank you to grandparents Who had to watch those they love so much Go off to fight in a foreign land, And who long for just one more touch. Thank you to the parents who taught their children That our nation deserves their loyalty, And the dedication and sometimes sacrifice, If we are going to remain brave and free. And thank you to God above us Who watches over us and loves us, And gave us the land that we adore, A land with freedom worth fighting for. Pray to God that our flag Will today and always proudly wave Over our America, land of the free, Our beloved America, Home of the Brave!
