To protect my friend
And her identity
I have changed it to initials
To share what she told to me...
She had a dream the other night
That she was dead and gone
And worried about her hubby
...How he would carry on.
The first thing that he did
And this was quite a surprise
Was gathered together in one spot
All of her scrapbooking supplies.
He could not stand to have them there
To remind them of his wife
The one who brought such joy
And fulfillment to his life.
As he had listened carefully over the years
To what she had bought
He knew he would have no loss
And sold those supplies in short order
For what she had said they cost....
The word got out to scrappers
Who came from near and far
To load up those sweet supplies
In van or truck or car...
There were 12 x 12's for 30 cents
And if you desired more
The kits that came from QVC
Were five dollars and ninety four.
There were Bazzil packs for a dollar
And Jolees were a dime
Ribbon was almost given free
Because measuring took up time.
She had albums that were empty
And just waiting on the shelf
(She had bought quite a few-
Couldn't seem to help herself)...
Albums her hubby said
Were just so cheap to buy
His wife had told him this himself
And he knew she wouldn't lie.
She sold those two for twenty
And folks bought four or more
And especially loved the newest ones
Still wearing stickers from the store.
She watched her Chatterbox leave
WIth strangers that dropped by
And there went her MM tool kit
Oh, she thought that she would cry.
But when she saw her QK tool
About to go out the door
Our JJ awoke, sat up in bed
For she couldn't take it anymore!
"I confess!" she shouted loud and clear
And plain enough for hubby to hear..
"I confess" she said yet again
Ready to tell what the truth had been.
Fortunately for JJ
Her husband was not there
To hear the loud confession
And it gave her quite a scare.
SO to calm her emotions
And put her mind back at ease
She went scrapbook shopping
At her favorite place....with Lisa on QVC!
